The Santos de Cartier collection was first designed in 1904 for Brazilian aviator Alberto Santos Dumont. Over time, this collection has come to house three sub-collections, all of which display the features intrinsic to the Santos line while still being true to the characteristics of each independent sub-collection.
One such sub-collection is the Santos 100. The Cartier Santos 100 collection was developed in 2004 to mark the 100th anniversary of the Santos de Cartier watch. Like its parent collection, these watches also have the recognized features of a square case with rounded angles and exposed screws. And most notably, this was the introduction of a steel avatar for Cartier.
A great choice for both men and women, even though they are fairly large, these watches are comfortable to wear. The Santos 100 watch is an incredibly versatile piece that can be comfortably worn as an everyday piece as well as to more formal and dressy occasions. Available in steel case as well as a steel and gold avatar, women especially have the fun of choosing between traditional black/brown straps and the more feminine pink.
