A fairly recent addition to the world of men's watches is the Cartier Tank MC. In these watches, Cartier has combined all the elements needed for a masculine feel with the elegance that is inherent to the iconic Tank line.

These exclusively men watches are a very attractive option for those who haven't quite felt a connection with the other men's pieces from the Tank collection!

What's the Cartier Tank MC story?

The Cartier Tank MC is a masculine reinterpretation of the Tank line, with strong square dimensions and a small seconds "petit complication" that lends these timepieces an aura of power and excellence. These watches are powered by the in-house 1904 MC-PS (Manufacture Cartier - Petite Seconde) automatic movement, which is visible through the transparent sapphire case back...you rarely appreciate the excellence of something you don't see!

While the original Tank pieces have dials that are stunning in their uncluttered appearance, these watches have a calendar aperture at 3 o'clock and a small seconds sub-dial at 6 o'clock. These additions, which tremendously add to the masculine flavor of the watch, also give it a touch of charm.

The Tank MC is available in a single size – 34.3 x 44.0 mm. While they are nowhere near "large"-sized, they are an excellent fit for any wrist size and create an extremely attractive look that is suitable for any and all occasions – an option that any man will find hard to pass up!

Choosing your Cartier Tank MC

The Tank MC watches are available in a steel casing and in a pink gold avatar, depending on whether you want the pristine cleanliness of steel or the warmth of pink gold. With these cases, you again have two models to choose from.

Steel Cartier Tank MC

Available in a steel casing, both these watches have an octagonal crown set with a synthetic spinel and a semi-matte black alligator leather strap paired with a steel 20 mm double adjustable deployant buckle. Your options arise in the choice of dial – one model has a silver flinqué dial with blue steel sword-shaped hands, while the other has a black flinqué dial with rhodiumized steel sword-shaped hands.

A flinqué dial has a pattern of concentric straight or wavy lines engraved either by hand with a graver or with a machine using a rose engine.

Pink Gold Cartier Tank MC

These watches are set in an 18k pink gold case with an octagonal crown set with a sapphire and a semi-matte dark brown alligator leather strap paired with an 18K pink gold 20mm double adjustable deployant buckle. As with the steel model, these watches come with a silver flinqué dial with blue steel sword-shaped hands, while the other has a chocolate-colored flinqué dial with pink gold sword-shaped hands.

If you're looking for something a little flashier, this line also comes in an 18k white gold case set with baguette cut diamonds, paired with an octagonal crown, also set with baguette cut diamonds. The white gold dial and deployant buckle are similarly encrusted with diamonds. The man wearing this watch is going to turn many heads!
