It's that time of year again...the annual Miracle Babies fundraiser. This year's edition of the Miracle Babies Gala, more formally called Casino Royale, will be adopting the thrill of disguise and fantasy in its annual benefit. The Miracle Babies Masquerade Ball will be an elegant night of make believe, while supporting a worthy cause!
On September 27, 2014 (Saturday), event attendees will get to enjoy an evening of fun, food, cocktails, entertainment, and above all, masquerade, at the Hyatt Regency La Jolla. Beginning at 5PM with a red carpet entrance, this dazzling evening will feature a seated dinner, a silent and live auction, raise the paddle, live entertainment, and a performance by Aerialist Laura Dasi.
Why would you attend the Miracle Babies Masquerade Ball?
Founded in 2009 by Dr. Sean Daneshmand, Miracle Babies is a non-profit organization that supports families with critically ill newborns in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Every year sees more than 5,00,000 premature births; Miracle Babies provides these families with education, support and financial assistance to help ease their burden as they fight for the survival of their baby.
Every year, the foundation organizes a fundraiser to engage the community and raise awareness of preterm births, especially how common it is. In an evening of entertainment, donations, and auctions, the funds raised are then channeled towards supporting these families and their newborns in need.
The children are the future, that's what they say...and when you're a part of this evening, you are part of someone's fight for survival. For more information on attending the masquerade ball and being a part of this evening, visit this link.
What are you wearing to the Masquerade?
As a ball, the event is naturally black tie; which means that men will be in black or midnight blue tuxedos with black dress shoes, and ladies will be in full length gowns of deep, rich colors, paired with satin or crystal clutches and shoes and rounded out with very sparkly jewelry.
As the name suggests, this is a masquerade...so your attire will have to be duly masquerade-inspired. So gentlemen, it's time to don those capes, top hats and canes, and ladies, remember to have those tiaras and everything else polished up! And most of all, remember to find the perfect mask.
Now, without actually seeing your outfit, we may not be able to give you the perfect fit in terms of accessories, but once you've settled on your look, we'll definitely be able to help you bring it to perfection. So, whether you're being Queen Cleopatra à la Elizabeth Taylor (who was very Cartier friendly), or the Phantom of the Opera, we would love to be a part of your magical evening.
